‘Polar Vortex Brings Life-Threatening Cold to the US’

Severe weather began shifting westward on Monday as a polar vortex was predicted to take hold of the Rockies and northern plains. This follows a weekend of winter storms that severely impacted the eastern United States, resulting in the deaths of at least 10 individuals, including nine people in Kentucky who perished due to flooding.
