Police report: Teenage girl steals train for joyride and crashes it
A female teenager allegedly took an empty subway train in New York City on a joyride with a male companion, crashed it, and then fled, according to the police.
Surveillance images released by authorities show one individual dressed in pink, including a pink shower cap, and another in a blue tank top.
The pair reportedly entered an unoccupied train at the Briarwood subway station in Queens just after midnight on 12 September and managed to start it, officials stated.
After crashing into another parked train, they fled the scene, as per the police.

A 17-year-old girl has been taken into custody and faces charges of criminal mischief and reckless endangerment.
Authorities are currently searching for the male companion who is believed to have been with them on the train.
The extent of the damage caused by the incident is unknown, and thankfully no injuries were reported.
