Political Science Professor Predicts Decrease in Voter Turnout for 2020
According to Michael McDonald, a political science professor at the University of Florida and the leader of the U.S. Elections Project, voter turnout for the upcoming election is expected to be lower than in 2020. McDonald predicts a Voter Eligible Population turnout rate of 64.7% for 2024, which is lower than the 66.4% rate seen in 2020.
