Russian President Vladimir Putin stated today that Russia is in principle supportive of the 30-day ceasefire proposal introduced by the U.S. and Ukraine, but emphasized that additional discussions are necessary. President Trump described this as ‘a very positive statement’ and expressed his willingness to engage in talks with Putin.
