Rep. Jordan Subpoenas Fmr Manhattan DA Who Pushed for Trump Indictment; TN House Ousts Dem Lawmaker



House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) on April 6 subpoenaed a former Manhattan prosecutor who pushed for an indictment against former President Donald Trump. The move came days after Trump pleaded not guilty to felony charges brought by the Manhattan district attorney’s office in a prosecution that has ignited outrage from Republicans.

President Joe Biden’s administration released a summary of classified reports that mostly blamed the chaotic U.S. pullout from Afghanistan on his predecessor, Donald Trump, for failing to plan for the withdrawal he had agreed on with the Taliban.

The first of three Democrats facing expulsion votes in the Tennessee House of Representatives was voted to be expelled by his colleagues, amid hundreds of loud boos and chants from protestors in the state capitol in Nashville.
