Candice Bergen reflected on her sitcom Murphy Brown and joked about the progress since her character was attacked for being a single mother.
She concluded with a playful “meow”.
Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance’s controversial comments were also referenced, with Jennifer Aniston sharing a clip to criticize his views on IVF.
Award winner Liza Colon-Zayas used her platform to encourage voting, especially for Latinas.
