Sid Wilson from Slipknot hospitalized with severe burns following farm bonfire explosion | Entertainment and Arts Update
Slipknot’s Sid Wilson is currently hospitalized for “serious burns” after an explosion at his farm bonfire.
The heavy metal musician, who is dating Kelly Osbourne, assured fans in a video from his hospital bed on Instagram that he will be “OK.”
“I experienced an explosion in my face,” he explained. “I’ll be fine, but I sustained serious burns on my face and arms.”
Under his alias DJ Starscream, Wilson mentioned that he was undergoing chest X-rays to ensure he hadn’t inhaled flames during the incident.
Despite singed eyebrows, mustache, and blistered mouth and arms, he expressed his determination to perform at Slipknot’s upcoming show at Rocklahoma festival in Oklahoma.
“I will be okay, no matter what. I’ll see you on tour,” he promised.
In a subsequent video, Wilson revealed he was being transferred to a specialized facility, reassured fans that he was “doing pretty good,” and was in “good hands.”
He clarified that his burns were caused by remaining fire remnants from a bonfire he had lit on his farm the previous night.
In a separate Instagram post, Osbourne, daughter of TV personalities Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, warned against playing with burn piles.
“He literally set himself on fire, exploded everything,” she shared.
