Sky News unveils coverage strategy for US election as nation gears up to elect new president | Latest from US


Sky News has revealed its coverage plans for the upcoming US presidential election, where Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are in a fierce battle to secure the White House.

Leading the overnight coverage from Sky’s Washington studios will be chief presenter Mark Austin and world news presenter Yalda Hakim, situated at the home of America’s longest-running TV show, Sunday’s Meet The Press.

Additionally, US correspondent Mark Stone will join them in the studio to deliver live election results on 5 November and into 6 November.

Other correspondents James Matthews and Martha Kelner will be on the ground in Florida and California, respectively, bringing updates from the candidates’ home states as the results unfold.

With a combined experience exceeding a decade in reporting on American affairs, Stone, Matthews, and Kelner are equipped to cover stories ranging from the White House to key battlegrounds across the nation.

As the next president is determined, chief presenter Anna Botting and presenter Gillian Joseph will join Austin, Stone, and Hakim before and after the election to provide insights and analysis.

On the night of the election, Sky News will have access to extensive exit poll data and vote counts from every state, county, and demographic in America through its partnership with NBC.

In a global broadcast exclusive, Sky News will provide the fastest and most accurate race projections originating from the renowned NBC News decision desk.
