Southern Schools Suspend Classes Due to Winter Storm

On Thursday, schools and various facilities across Texas to Georgia either closed or made arrangements to close in anticipation of freezing rain and snow predicted for a significant portion of the Southern U.S. This comes as another wave of rapidly dropping temperatures and winter storms posed a risk of disrupting travel once more.
