Third victim’s body found in aftermath of Baltimore bridge collapse | US News
The recent recovery of the third victim of the Baltimore bridge collapse has been confirmed.
Divers located the body of Maynor Yasir Suazo-Sandoval and informed Maryland State Police, according to authorities.
This 38-year-old construction worker was one of six individuals who were presumed dead after a cargo ship collided with a support of the Francis Scott Key Bridge on March 26.
The Mayor of Baltimore, Brandon Scott, expressed, “While finding the body brings us closer to closure, my thoughts remain with the families still awaiting news of their loved ones.
“I commend the first responders who have been dedicated to recovering the remaining victims and clearing the channel with great care.”
Authorities revealed that the remains of Mr. Suazo-Sandoval were found within the collapse site around 10:30 am local time on Friday, and his family has been notified.
Two other workers were recovered from a vehicle in the water on March 27.
They were identified as 35-year-old Mexican Alejandro Hernandez Fuentes and 26-year-old Dorlian Ronial Castillo Cabrera from Guatemala.

President Joe Biden visited the collapse site by air on Friday and received updates from the US Coast Guard and the Army Corps of Engineers.
“To all the families and loved ones who are grieving,” the US president expressed. “I’ve come here to grieve with you. We all are.”
