Timothee Chalamet Makes Surprise Appearance at New York Lookalike Competition | Entertainment News
Actor Timothee Chalamet surprised everyone by appearing at his own lookalike contest in New York.
He took photos with fans and people who resemble him, some even dressed as characters from his movies like Wonka and Dune.
As the Chalamet lookalikes gathered for a contest in New York’s Washington Square Park, the police intervened and dispersed the group.
The organizers were fined $500 (£385) for an unauthorized costume contest, and one person was even arrested.
The contest continued in a nearby playground, with contestants showcasing their resemblance to Chalamet on a makeshift stage.
After a series of rounds, Miles Mitchell, 21, from Staten Island was crowned the winner of the contest, receiving $50 (£38) as a prize.
The contestants were quizzed on different topics, including French proficiency, their aspirations to better the world, and their connection with Kylie Jenner, rumored to be Chalamet’s partner.
Miles Mitchell, dressed as Willy Wonka, distributed candy from a briefcase to the audience, expressing his joy and gratitude for winning.
As the event unfolded, the organizer Paige Nguyen mentioned, “It started as a joke, but it turned into chaos.”
The NYPD confirmed pending charges in the case of the arrest made during the contest.
