Tragic Wyoming Plane Crash Claims Lives of Three Members of US Family Gospel Group, The Nelons

Seven people, including three members of the US family gospel group The Nelons, tragically lost their lives in a plane crash in Wyoming. Kelly Nelon Clark, Jason Clark, Amber Nelon Kistler, Nathan Kistler, Melodi Hodges, Larry Haynie, and Melissa Haynie were all killed while on their way to perform on a cruise ship.

Autumn Nelon Streetman, the Clark’s youngest daughter and fourth member of the group, was not on the plane at the time.

Despite the devastating loss, she expressed gratitude for the prayers and support they have received.

The Nelons, founded by Kelly Nelon Clark’s father Rex Nelon, were en route to join the Gaither Homecoming Cruise when the accident occurred.

A statement from Gaither Music Group, the sponsor of the cruise, confirmed the tragic news and expressed support for the surviving family members.

The crash, which occurred north of Gillette, sparked a wildfire, and the National Transportation Safety Board is conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.

While a preliminary report is expected within 30 days, the full investigation could take up to two years.
