Trump and Musk to Join Forces for Exclusive Interview with Fox’s Hannity
The discoveries and spending reductions by DOGE surpassed the $3 billion threshold on February 11.
On February 14, Fox News announced that President Donald Trump and tech mogul Elon Musk will engage in their inaugural joint interview on February 18 with Sean Hannity.
The interview is set to take place at the White House, recorded that Tuesday afternoon, and will be broadcasted that evening during Hannity’s signature show. According to the network, the discussion will center around Trump’s initial 100 days back in office as well as the newly established U.S. Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
This comes as DOGE, led by Musk, is encountering considerable criticism for its endeavors to identify areas where federal spending can be trimmed. Detractors argue that Musk and his small team should not have access to financial data from entities such as the Treasury Department.
Musk met with Trump in the Oval Office on February 11 to advocate for his initiatives, and Trump has directed all federal agencies to collaborate with DOGE in efforts to streamline the government.
“We are essentially discussing the implementation of sensible controls that have been lacking,” Musk stated. “Let’s evaluate each expenditure and ask, ‘Is this truly in the best interest of the people?’ If it is, then it’s justified. If not, then we need to reconsider.”

On February 12, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt revealed the release of various contract receipts that DOGE has assisted in eliminating.
“We have numerous contracts that we can present to you,” Leavitt stated. “Allow me to clarify: we are not concealing anything. We have been exceptionally open and will maintain that level of transparency.”
Meanwhile, Trump’s executive order to suspend all federal funding to uncover fraud is currently being obstructed by district judges.
“DOGE has identified enormous amounts of FRAUD, WASTE, INCOMPETENCE, AND ABUSE. Yet, a heavily political, activist Judge wants us to proceed with payments, regardless,” Trump expressed on Truth Social on February 12. “In other words, they want us to pay, despite knowing the payment request was fraudulent. DOGE has exposed the issue – The Judge simply disregards it. It’s perplexing!!!”
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has also taken legal measures against Musk, who has called for the program’s termination, claiming it operates as a money laundering scheme. USAID’s lawsuit contends that Musk should have received Senate confirmation before commencing his work with DOGE, which was established through an executive order, naming Musk as a special government employee by The White House.
