Trump Declares ‘Victory Rally’ Scheduled for One Day Before Inauguration
The president-elect has not conducted any rallies since his victory in the November election.
President-elect Donald Trump plans to host a rally on January 19, the day before his Inauguration Day, as he shared with supporters earlier this week.
“This is President Trump’s VICTORY RALLY the DAY before being sworn in as the 47th President — the crowd needs to be HUGE!” stated an email to supporters on Thursday promoting the rally, set to take place at the Capitol One Arena in Washington on January 19.
This event marks Trump’s first rally since his electoral win on November 5. Leading up to Election Day, he frequently held rallies, sometimes multiple in a single day.
The Capital One Arena has a seating capacity of over 20,300, home to both the Washington Wizards (NBA) and the Washington Capitals (NHL).
Trump has extended invitations to several world leaders for his inauguration on January 20, though it remains uncertain whether any of them will attend the rally.

The new president has promised to initiate a mass deportation campaign immediately upon taking office. Additionally, he has pledged to impose substantial tariffs on the U.S.’s primary economic rivals, China, Canada, and Mexico, unless they take significant measures to curb illegal immigration and the influx of narcotics, including fentanyl, into the country.
Recently, he has encountered pressure from conservative circles concerning remarks made by two of his representatives, tech magnate Elon Musk and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, in relation to H-1B visas and foreign workers. The H-1B visa program permits the entry of 5,000 highly skilled foreign workers yearly, in addition to 20,000 foreigners who have earned advanced degrees from U.S. institutions to fill specialized roles.
During a press conference on Tuesday evening, Trump expressed his support for the program, asserting that he has “always believed we need to attract the most competent individuals to our nation.”
“We require capable individuals. We need intelligent people entering our workforce,” Trump stated. “We anticipate job growth like we’ve never seen before.”
On his first day in office, Trump has also committed to swiftly addressing Russia’s nearly three-year-long conflict in Ukraine, terminating federal mandates for electric vehicles, expanding oil drilling and natural gas extraction, cutting funding to schools that teach critical race theory or enforce vaccine mandates, and potentially pardoning some individuals involved in the January 6 incidents.
