Donald Trump has arrived in Milwaukee for the Republican National Convention a day after he was targeted in an attempted assassination at a campaign event.
His plane touched down on Sunday, the day before the four-day event kicks off with thousands of Republicans coming together to formally elect him as their 2024 presidential nominee.
The former president mentioned in a social media post earlier on Sunday that due to the attempted assassination, he was initially planning to delay his trip by two days. However, he ultimately decided not to allow a ‘shooter’ or potential assassin to dictate changes to his schedule or any other aspect.
It is anticipated that he will not address the event until Thursday night.
