Trump Sends Holiday Greetings to Trudeau, Greenland, and Chinese Troops in Panama

“If Canada were to become our 51st State, their taxes would be reduced by over 60 percent, and their businesses would instantly double in size,” Trump stated.

President-elect Donald Trump shared a Christmas message on Truth Social, reiterating his views on reestablishing control over the Panama Canal, transforming Canada into the 51st state of America, the annexation of Greenland, and President Joe Biden’s choice to commute the death sentences of nearly 40 prisoners.

“Merry Christmas to everyone, including the remarkable soldiers of China, who are operating the Panama Canal affectionately, yet unlawfully (where we lost 38,000 lives during its construction 110 years ago),” his message on Truth Social began, expressing that the United States was always expected to spend billions on repairs without any influence over “anything.”
Republican leaders such as Senator Marco Rubio and former Representative Matt Gaetz have previously voiced concerns regarding the increasing power of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in the vicinity of the canal. A company based in Hong Kong, Hutchison Ports PPC, has been managing Balboa Port on the Pacific side and Cristóbal Port at the Atlantic entrance of the canal since 1997 and is contracted to do so for an additional 20 years. Additionally, the Latin American nation joined the CCP’s Belt and Road Initiative in 2017.

Trump also introduced Kevin Marino Cabrera, a Miami-Dade County commissioner and vice chairman of the International Trade Consortium, as his selection for the U.S. Ambassador to Panama.

“Few comprehend Latin American politics as well as Kevin,” Trump mentioned on Truth Social. “He will effectively represent our nation’s interests in Panama!”

Trump then extended Christmas greetings to the Canadian prime minister, whom he once more referred to as “Governor Justin Trudeau.”

“If Canada were to become our 51st State, their taxes would be reduced by over 60 percent, businesses would instantly double in size, and they would receive military protection unlike any other country in the world,” Trump wrote.

Additionally, he suggested that hockey legend Wayne Gretzky should take on the role of Canada’s next prime minister.

Trump also conveyed Christmas greetings to the citizens of Greenland, emphasizing that the island is vital for U.S. national security. He asserted that the people of Greenland desired a U.S. presence.

Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen recently announced a new $1.5 billion defense package for the Arctic territory, stating that the timing of this enhancement concerning Trump’s remarks was “ironic.”

“For many years, we have not invested sufficiently in the Arctic. Now, we are planning to enhance our presence,” he commented.

Shifting focus to domestic matters, the president-elect sent Merry Christmas wishes to the “Radical Left Lunatics,” who he claimed were attempting to obstruct the nation’s judiciary system and elections, and “are perpetually targeting the Great Citizens and Patriots of the United States, particularly me, their political opponent.”

However, there was one group to whom Trump did not extend Merry Christmas wishes: the 37 federal death row inmates whose sentences were commuted by Biden on December 23, who will now serve life in prison.

“To the 37 most violent criminals, who killed, raped, and plundered like few before them, … I refuse to wish a Merry Christmas … instead, I will say, go to hell!” Trump declared.

“We experienced the Greatest Election in the History of our Country,” he concluded. “A bright light is now shining over the U.S.A., and in 26 days, we will make America great again. Merry Christmas!”
