Attorney Stanley Woodward will act as assistant to the president and senior counselor.
President-elect Donald Trump revealed several appointments to his upcoming White House team on Saturday.
According to a statement from Trump’s transition team, attorney Stanley Woodward, Robert Gabriel Jr., Nicholas Luna, and William “Beau” Harrison will be part of the White House team, led by Chief of Staff Susie Wiles.
Attorney Stanley Woodward will act as assistant to the president and senior counselor.
The Trump campaign also highlighted Woodward’s prior experience with a multinational law firm where he defended various international corporations against alleged violations of the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. He is also a recipient of the D.C. Bar’s Laura N. Rinaldi Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year award for leading his firm’s efforts to provide legal counsel to tenants facing eviction. Woodward obtained his Juris Doctor from the Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law.
Three additional appointments include former aides from the initial Trump administration.
Robert Gabriel Jr., a former associate producer for Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle,” will return to the White House as assistant to the president focused on policy. A graduate in economics and previous Department of Defense consultant, he campaigned for Trump during the 2016 election and served in various capacities in the first Trump administration, primarily as a policy advisor in the West Wing. He later advised the Save America Leadership PAC and “helped transform the Mar-a-Lago political operation into a national presidential campaign organization,” according to the statement.
Luna is tasked with shaping the messaging and public events for the Trump White House.
Having held various roles in the initial Trump White House, he also served as the president’s personal aide and most recently worked as the director of operations for Vice President-elect JD Vance.
William “Beau” Harrison, who received the Secretary of Defense Medal for Outstanding Public Service, has been reappointed as assistant to the president and deputy chief of staff for operations. In this role, he managed numerous complex international visits, including the pivotal summit in Singapore between Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. Recently, Harrison has worked as a director at Command Group.
Trump is set to take office on January 20.
