Trump vows to remain fearless after shooting at rally, gunman caught on camera moments before opening fire


Donald Trump has expressed gratitude, stating that it was “God alone who prevented the unthinkable from happening,” following his survival of an assassination attempt. He also reassured the public to “fear not.” Video footage of the gunman prior to the shooting has emerged.

In a message on his Truth Social platform after the attack at a campaign rally, the former president called on Americans to stand together in “not allowing evil to triumph.”

The 78-year-old sustained a gunshot wound to his ear during the incident, which occurred at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, about 30 miles north of Pittsburgh, on Saturday evening.

Video footage shows Mr Trump ducking as shots are fired, causing panic among the crowd.

A photograph captures the moment a bullet narrowly misses Mr Trump’s head.

He was surrounded by the Secret Service for protection and escorted off stage to safety with a wounded ear.

Upon leaving the stage, Mr Trump raised his fist in defiance, chanting “fight” to the crowd, which responded with cheers and chants of “USA. USA. USA.”

Market analysts anticipate that the attack and Mr Trump’s bold reaction could boost his chances of regaining the presidency. They also expect an increase in trades betting on his victory in the upcoming week.
