Trump warns Zelenskyy, “You’re risking World War Three,” during heated Oval Office meeting | World News
In a tense meeting, Donald Trump and JD Vance confronted Volodymyr Zelenskyy, with Trump declaring to his Ukrainian counterpart that he is “gambling with World War Three.”
Zelenskyy traveled to the US in hopes of negotiating a ceasefire with Russia and discussing a potential mineral agreement.
During their encounter at the White House, tensions escalated quickly as voices were raised in front of rolling cameras and media representatives.
Trump remarked to Zelenskyy, “You’re gambling with World War Three, and what you’re doing is very disrespectful to the country.”
“You’re currently not in a very good position,” he added. “You don’t hold the cards with us right now; you’re starting to face difficulties.”
Vance also accused Zelenskyy of being “disrespectful” toward the Trump administration with his remarks.
“You ought to be thanking the President [Trump] for making efforts to resolve this conflict,” he advised.
As the confrontation continued, Trump pointed at the Ukrainian president, stating: “It’s going to be very challenging to do business like this; you need to show gratitude.”
