Trump Warns Zuckerberg of Life Imprisonment for Illegal Actions Regarding Election, US News Reports

Donald Trump has issued a threat against Mark Zuckerberg, warning that he will be imprisoned if the Facebook founder engages in any illegal activities to influence the upcoming presidential election.

The former president made this statement in his new book, Save America, which features pictures and stories from his time in office.

In a photo of their meeting at the White House, Mr Trump wrote next to it: “He would bring his very nice wife to dinners, be as nice as anyone could be, while always plotting to install shameful Lock Boxes in a true PLOT AGAINST THE PRESIDENT.”

This was in reference to the $400m (£303m) that Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan Zuckerberg, donated to election offices in 2020.

Most of the donations went to Democratic-leaning counties in certain states, as Republican politicians rejected the funds due to Mr Trump’s warnings against funding election offices to promote postal voting during the pandemic.

Mr Trump and his supporters have blamed these donations for contributing to his defeat in 2020.

“We are watching him closely,” Mr Trump wrote in his book, “and if he engages in any illegal activities this time, he will spend the rest of his life in prison – along with others who cheat in the 2024 Presidential Election.”

Trump’s book also includes photos of him with world leaders like North Korea’s Kim Jong Un and former German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

It also showcases images of the crowds that gathered in Washington DC to hear his speech before the January 6th Capitol attack in 2021.

Meta, Zuckerberg’s rebranded company, has not responded to the book yet.
