According to federal prosecutors in Tennessee, two tax preparers have been charged with submitting $65 million in false claims for refunds under programs intended to assist businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Renata Walton, 44, and Nicole Jones, 36, were indicted by a federal grand jury for their alleged involvement in the scheme.
