US News: New York City Mayor Eric Adams Accused of Accepting Bribes from Foreign Nationals
The mayor of New York City has been accused of accepting bribes and illegal campaign contributions from foreign nationals.
According to an indictment filed by the US attorney’s office in Manhattan, Eric Adams “solicited and demanded” bribes, including free and heavily discounted luxury travel benefits from a Turkish official.
Adams is the first of the city’s 110 mayors to face criminal charges while in office.
FBI agents have searched his home previously.
