US Secretary of State claims Iran is supplying Russia with ballistic missiles, posing a threat to Europe – Politics News
The US secretary of state has stated that Iran has sent short-range ballistic missiles to Russia, with the Kremlin expected to use them in Ukraine within weeks. Antony Blinken, speaking during a visit to the UK, described this development as “a threat to all of Europe”.
According to Blinken, dozens of Russian military personnel have been trained in Iran to operate the Fath-360 close range ballistic missile system, which has a range of up to 75 miles.
He added, “Russia has now received shipments of these ballistic missiles and is likely to deploy them in Ukraine soon, targeting Ukrainians. This supply of Iranian missiles allows Russia to utilize more of its arsenal for long-range targets.”
