A tragic incident has occurred at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, where a woman lost her life after being caught in a conveyer belt system.
Emergency responders were summoned on Thursday morning following reports of a woman stuck in machinery within the baggage area of Terminal 5, as per NBC Chicago.
She was tangled in the conveyer belt system that is utilized to transport baggage and was declared deceased at the location.
Authorities stated that she was spotted on video entering a restricted area that was deserted in the early hours of the morning. Her body was discovered several hours later, according to ABC Chicago.

The victim has not been identified, but law enforcement disclosed that she was 57 years old and had seemingly been at the airport overnight.
The reason for her accessing the employee-only area remains unknown.
