Wounded police dog in Las Vegas saved by officers rushing him to hospital | US News
Police officers in Las Vegas took immediate action to save the life of their police dog, who had been stabbed while on duty.
Amidst the chaos, K9 Enzo was rushed to a nearby veterinary hospital with roads closed and a helicopter called in to assist in transporting him for urgent medical attention.
“You did so good buddy.. you’re a good boy,” one officer can be heard comforting Enzo in a video released by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department as they raced against time to save him.
Enzo was quickly attended to by veterinary staff upon arrival, his injuries visible from his brave attempt to apprehend a violent suspect.
Following stabilization, it was evident that Enzo needed to be transferred to another hospital for further treatment.
A decision was made to close the road and utilize a helicopter for airlifting Enzo to the next medical facility, where he continued to receive care with hope for recovery.

“Everyone played a crucial role in saving our canine dog’s life, demonstrating teamwork and quick action,” stated SWAT commander Bryan Peterson in the video.
He praised K9 officers like Enzo for their dedication to duty and emphasized the importance of ensuring their safety and well-being in carrying out their policing responsibilities.
