12 Soldiers in Vietnam Dead Following Explosion
Twelve Vietnamese soldiers tragically lost their lives in a training accident in southern Vietnam, as reported by state media on Wednesday.
The incident occurred at a military shooting range in Dong Nai Province within the 7th Military Region on Monday night, according to the official Vietnam News Agency.
While most of the victims have been recovered, authorities are still searching for those who are missing, the report confirmed.
Initial investigations point to a lightning strike causing detonators carried by the soldiers to explode, resulting in the tragic event, the report elaborated.
The Ministry of Defence expressed deep sorrow and acknowledged the immense impact this loss has had on the military unit, families, relatives, comrades, and teammates, as per the report.
