Accident at Valcartier Military Base in Quebec Leaves 16 Soldiers Injured
On Sept. 17 afternoon, more than a dozen soldiers were sent to the hospital after an accident at a military base in Quebec.
Capt. Hermione Wilson, a public affairs officer with the Canadian Armed Forces, stated that the accident occurred at Canadian Forces Base Valcartier.
Wilson mentioned that the accident in the base’s training area involved two armored vehicles and that civilian and military emergency services responded immediately to the scene.
According to Wilson, 16 members of the 5 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group sustained minor injuries and were taken to local hospitals.
CFB Valcartier is located just outside Quebec City.
