ADP Survey Reveals Even Those Juggling Multiple Jobs Are Living Paycheck to Paycheck

A recent study indicates that many workers with multiple jobs are still facing challenges due to the high cost of living.

Conducted by ADP Research, the study surveyed 38,000 working adults globally in around three dozen markets from July 23 to Aug. 6. It revealed that 23 percent of respondents held two or more jobs.

Among those with two jobs, nearly six out of ten mentioned that they are still living paycheck to paycheck.

In Canada, approximately half of those with two jobs stated that they do so to cover essential expenses. Additionally, 58 percent of Canadians with three jobs indicated that they are doing it to establish savings or retirement funds.

While affordability emerged as the primary reason for having multiple jobs, 16 percent of respondents cited limited full-time job opportunities as a driving factor.

Overall, the survey found that 56 percent of working Canadians are living paycheck to paycheck.
