After days of delays, air traffic at Vancouver’s airport has returned to normal.

The air traffic control agency for Canada’s airports, Nav Canada, has announced that traffic flow at Vancouver International Airport has returned to normal just in time for Easter weekend travel.

Nav Canada had previously issued warnings on social media about potential flight delays on Tuesday and Wednesday.

In a statement on Wednesday, the agency explained that a temporary traffic management plan was put in place at Vancouver Airport due to staffing challenges, but operations have since resumed to normal levels. Passengers are still advised to monitor their flight status.

Vancouver International Airport has confirmed that Nav Canada has assured both airlines and the airport that standard operations will be maintained.

Nav Canada, responsible for managing airspace spanning 18 million square kilometers in Canada, had previously flagged a severe shortage of staff earlier this year.
