MANCHESTER, England—American investors continue to show a strong interest in the Premier League. Everton, a renowned English soccer team, will soon be owned by a Miami-based private investment firm called 777 Partners. They have successfully reached an agreement to buy out current majority shareholder, Farhad Moshiri.
Josh Wander, founder and managing partner of 777 Partners, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to join the Everton family and take on the responsibility of being custodians of the club. He considers it a privilege to build upon the team’s rich heritage and values. This announcement was made in a statement on Friday.
Several other Premier League teams are already under American ownership, including Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Chelsea. Each team faces different levels of success. Additional teams on the list include Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, Fulham, Burnley, and Bournemouth.
