Argentina Responds After Canadian Rapper Drake Loses Copa Bet: Soccer – ‘Different from Us’

Argentina decided to taunt music artist Drake following Canada’s loss of $300,000 on a bet that their country would defeat the reigning champions in the semi-final of the Copa America. They used a song by Drake’s rap rival Kendric Lamar to convey their message.

Drake shared an Instagram post revealing that he would have won a $2.88 million payout had Canada emerged victorious. However, goals from Julian Alvarez and Lionel Messi ensured Argentina’s place in the final for the fourth time in five editions.

Responding to Drake’s post, the World Cup winners posted a photo with the caption: “Not like us”, a reference to a ‘diss’ track by Lamar that criticized the Canadian artist. The track has been highly popular, with almost half a billion streams on Spotify and over 115 million views on YouTube.

Argentina is aiming for their 16th Copa America title and will face either Uruguay or Colombia in the final on Sunday.
