Assault in Grocery Store: Pregnant Woman Punched and Kicked

According to Western Australian police, a pregnant woman was physically assaulted in a suburban shopping strip, where she was punched and kicked in the stomach.

The 35-year-old victim was taken to the hospital following the attack on Wednesday, which began with verbal abuse from a 51-year-old woman as the victim entered a grocery store in Bentley.

The abuse continued as the victim left the store, escalating to a physical assault in the carpark, where she was punched several times in the face and kicked in the stomach, causing her to fall to the ground.

Police responded promptly, arresting the older woman who has since been charged and is scheduled to appear in Perth Magistrates Court on April 4.
