Australia triumph in thrilling MCG Test, defeating India by 184 runs



Australia emerged victorious in a thrilling Test match, securing a 184-run victory over India at the MCG to take a 2-1 lead in the Border-Gavaskar series.

The match witnessed a record-breaking Test crowd in Australia, with the hosts overcoming a resilient innings from India’s star opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, who scored 84 runs from 208 balls and was eventually dismissed by Pat Cummins.

Veteran spinner Nathan Lyon, who had struggled in the series, played a pivotal role by taking 2 wickets for 39 runs and claiming the final wicket with just 39 minutes remaining and 12 overs left to secure a remarkable win.
