Bonza suspends flights, raising uncertainty about the airline’s future

Bonza recently joined the highly competitive Australian airline market.

The budget airline Bonza has unexpectedly canceled flights as discussions about the company’s future viability continue.

CEO Tim Jordan has announced the temporary suspension of flights.

“Discussions are currently taking place regarding the ongoing viability of the business,” stated Mr. Jordan on Tuesday.

“We apologize to our affected customers and are working quickly to determine a path forward that ensures continued competition in the Australian domestic aviation market.”

Based in Sunshine, the company launched in January 2023 with 27 routes to 17 destinations, but began reducing routes within its first six months.
