Canada Post Strike Leads to Growing Wait Times and Backlogs, Increasing Frustration

Deliveries are taking longer due to the Canada Post strike impact on shoppers and businesses.

The shutdown of the Crown corporation last month has forced many Canadians to seek alternative delivery methods, resulting in increased volumes for other carriers.

This surge in demand has caused delays at Purolator, UPS, and other shipping services, affecting the transportation of goods nationwide.

One Toronto resident, Darren Solomon, has been waiting almost two weeks for a replacement refrigerator part that normally arrives within a day, causing inconvenience for his family.

For those in rural areas dependent on Canada Post, even delayed shipments are inaccessible.

The Canada Post strike involving 55,000 workers has entered its 25th day. The organization is waiting for a response from union representatives to a proposal submitted on Friday.
