Defendant in DJ’s Brutal Murder Shifts Blame to Co-defendants

One of five men on trial for torturing and murdering the owner of a Turkish radio station in London has implicated two of his co-defendants. The prosecution claims that Koray Alpergin was kidnapped, tortured, and killed at the Stadium Lounge in Tottenham by a group of sadistic thugs. Ali Kavak, one of the defendants, has stated that he only disposed of the body because he was terrified. The five men deny the charges against them. Two key suspects in the case, Ali Yildirim and Cem Orman, are fugitives and believed to be members of the Tottenham Turks gang. During his testimony, Kavak revealed that he was present in a Turkish café with other individuals when he heard someone say, “bro, I killed him.” He identified one of his co-defendants, Tejean Kennedy, as the person who made the statement. Kavak also admitted to recognizing Steffan Gordon and another individual, whose identity is protected by law, carrying a bag containing the victim’s body. Kavak further explained that he was instructed to drive his car with the body to a unit in Tottenham and later dispose of it in Loughton, Essex. Kavak and another man, Yigit Hurman, were arrested before they could carry out a plan to travel to Amsterdam. The trial is set to continue until the end of November.
