Dreamworld Attack: Woman Mauled by Tiger
An animal handler who had undergone training has been sent to the hospital after being attacked by a tiger while working at the Gold Coast theme park Dreamworld.
The woman, who is in her 30s, was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital on Monday morning in stable condition with injuries to her arm.
“Dreamworld acknowledges an incident involving a trained tiger handler and one of the park’s tigers,” a spokesperson for the theme park told AAP.
“This was a rare and isolated incident, and we will be conducting a thorough review as a result.”
Dreamworld is the largest theme park in Australia, offering a variety of rides and animal exhibits.
