Elderly Couple Enjoys Square Dancing for Over Six Decades—Attributes Good Health and Strong Marriage to Their Favorite Hobby

For celebrated square dancer Donald Hanhurst, 88, and his wife, Loretta, 85, dancing is more than just a shared passion – it’s a lifestyle. And they have no plans to give up their favorite hobby anytime soon.

Donald, affectionately known as Don, started square dancing in 1949 and attributes his continued good health and sharp memory to a lifetime of dancing.

“Square dancing offers unparalleled benefits,” he told the Epoch Times. “It engages us physically, intellectually, and socially. What more could we ask for?”
