Experience 5 Cranberry Harvest Celebrations in 2024

Canada’s autumn season is synonymous with harvest time, making it the perfect opportunity to explore local farms and witness where your food originates.

As the world’s second-largest cranberry producer after the United States, Canada offers an excellent chance to visit a cranberry farm and learn more about this tart fruit.

In 2023, Canada experienced a decline in fruit production following a near-record high in 2022, which was largely due to a bountiful cranberry and lowbush blueberry harvest, as reported by Statistics Canada.

Quebec and British Columbia combined contributed to nearly 93 percent of the country’s cranberry yield in 2023, according to StatCan. New Brunswick, as the third-largest cranberry producing province, harvested approximately 5 percent of Canada’s cranberries that year.

For those eager to partake in Canada’s cranberry harvest festivities, here are some premier locations to explore.
