Firefighters in Argentina Search for Trapped People in Collapsed Hotel
A hotel building with ten stories collapsed early on Tuesday in Villa Gesell, a coastal city in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina, according to a statement from the local municipality.
Between seven and nine individuals, including workers from a construction site allegedly operating without municipal permits at the Dubrovnik hotel, were believed to be inside at the time, the statement reported.
Rescue teams are currently working to free those trapped by removing the debris, as mentioned by the Villa Gesell authorities. The municipality had stopped construction work at the site in August of this year.
