Five individuals convicted of killing two boys in Bristol: four teenagers and one man
Mason Rist, 15, and Max Dixon, 16, tragically lost their lives to stab wounds in a ‘revenge’ attack in January, mistaken for someone else in a rival part of the city.
Convicted of the murders of Mason and Max are four teenagers and a 45-year-old man in Bristol.
The two boys were attacked with machetes by four armed teenagers on Jan. 27 in Knowle West, resulting in their untimely deaths.
Following a six-week trial, a jury at Bristol Crown Court found Riley Tolliver, 18, a 16-year-old boy, a 17-year-old boy, and Antony Snook, 45, guilty of the murders.
Another 15-year-old boy was also convicted of Max’s murder after previously pleading guilty to Mason’s murder.
The attack stemmed from a case of mistaken identity, as the boys were wrongly thought to be responsible for an earlier incident in the Hartcliffe area of the city.
Driven by Snook to Knowle West, the perpetrators launched the attack after spotting Mason and Max on the street, believing them to be the culprits.
Tragically, Mason and Max had no involvement in the initial incident, making their deaths all the more senseless.
Both boys sustained fatal stab wounds and passed away in the hospital soon after the attack.
The perpetrators disposed of evidence and attempted to cover their tracks after the incident, with Snook claiming he was unaware of the weapons carried by the teenagers in his vehicle.
Despite the devastating losses, the families of Mason and Max shared heartfelt statements, remembering the boys and the joy they brought to their lives.
Justice will be served as Snook and the other perpetrators await sentencing for their heinous crimes against the two innocent boys.
