Former Quebec Junior Hockey Players Sentenced to Prison for Sexual Assault of Teen at Hotel in 2021
Two former Quebec junior hockey players have been sentenced to jail for sexually assaulting a minor at a hotel in June 2021 following a Victoriaville Tigres championship celebration.
Nicolas Daigle, 21, received a 32-month jail term, while Massimo Siciliano, 21, was sentenced to 30 months.
Both men pleaded guilty in October to sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl on June 6, 2021. Additionally, Mr. Daigle admitted to filming and sharing a video of the incident.
At the time of the assault, they were part of the Victoriaville team in the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League, which was celebrating their championship win on June 5, 2021.
The victim, whose identity is protected by a publication ban, was an employee at the hotel where the team was staying during the 2021 playoffs.
She had agreed to go to the hotel room with Mr. Daigle, but upon arrival, she found Mr. Siciliano present as well, feeling trapped before being assaulted by both individuals for approximately 40 minutes.
