Former RCMP Director Claims Canadian Leaders Were Unaware of Beijing’s Forced Organ Harvesting Scheme Despite Being ‘Wined and Dined’
Former RCMP director Garry Clement criticized Canadian prime ministers for seeking economic favour with China and fostering ties with a key political figure involved in Beijing’s organ harvesting from Falun Gong prisoners of conscience.
He made these remarks during a launch event for his new book, “Under Cover: Inside the Shady World of Organized Crime and the RCMP,” on Nov. 9 in Ottawa.
Clement recounted his time in Hong Kong from 1991 to 1994, where he gained insight into how Chinese crime organizations connected to the CCP extend their operations to Canada. He described China’s ruling elite as “the biggest transnational organized-crime group in the world,” and highlighted the regime’s use of Chinese students for intelligence gathering and immigrants to control the Chinese diaspora in Canada.
He also warned of Chinese espionage and other threats linked to the CCP, citing the negligence of Canadian authorities in addressing these issues. Clement pointed out that Canada missed opportunities to halt Chinese interference and espionage due to political interests in trade with China.
He specifically mentioned Canadian Prime Ministers’ efforts to curry favour with China for economic benefit, even after warnings about the negative consequences for Canada and its Chinese diaspora were given by intelligence officers.
Clement expressed concerns about the practical understanding of Chinese culture by Canadian law enforcement and the challenges they face in addressing the CCP’s influence.
He also highlighted the connections between Bo Xilai, a former commerce minister in China, who wined and dined several Canadian prime ministers. Bo Xilai was later arrested for his involvement in organ harvesting.
Clement also noted that the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong continues under current Chinese leader Xi Jinping, and called on people to wake up and understand the challenges faced by Canada.
