Four Arrested After RCMP Seize 63 Kilograms of Cocaine Hidden in Grand Piano in Quebec
Reports from the Quebec RCMP indicate that they discovered 62.7 kilograms of cocaine concealed inside the walls of a grand piano during searches in the Lanaudière region and the Sherbrooke, Que., area.
Following a tip from Homeland Security Investigations, a United States law enforcement agency, four individuals were arrested on July 12 for their alleged involvement in a scheme to import and distribute the drugs.
Aside from the cocaine, the RCMP also confiscated $10,000 in cash and various electronic devices.
The arrested individuals are Billy Donais Cadieux, 26, from St-Félix-de-Valois; Pablo Hernandez, 52, from Baie d’Urfé; Michael Dubois, 37, from St-Denis-de-Brompton; and Juan Diego Hernandez, 28, from Laval.
All four suspects will remain in custody until their scheduled court appearance on July 17. They are facing charges related to the importation, possession, and trafficking of cocaine, as well as conspiracy.
