Frank Stronach faces allegations of sexual assault from three complainants, according to court documents.
Canadian businessman and billionaire Frank Stronach faces sexual assault accusations from three different individuals in incidents that allegedly occurred in Toronto and Aurora, Ontario, as per a court document filed this week.
The document outlines the charges against the 91-year-old, indicating that the incidents took place in 1980, 1986, and last year.
Last week, Peel Regional Police announced that Mr. Stronach had been charged with one count of rape, one count of indecent assault on a female, one count of forcible confinement, and two counts of sexual assault, providing limited information on the allegations.
The recent court filing mandates Mr. Stronach to surrender his passports and refrain from communicating with any of the three individuals making the complaints.
Mr. Stronach’s lawyer, Brian Greenspan, has staunchly denied the allegations against his client and eagerly anticipates the opportunity to address the charges to uphold Mr. Stronach’s reputation.
Renowned in corporate Canada, Mr. Stronach was the founder and former CEO of Magna International, a leading auto parts manufacturer. A Magna spokesperson clarified last week that Mr. Stronach relinquished control of the company over ten years ago and is no longer associated with it.
Mr. Stronach resigned as Magna’s chairman in 2011 and later left the board entirely in the subsequent year to establish a political party called Team Stronach in Austria, his country of origin.
By founding Magna in his garage in 1957, Mr. Stronach transformed it into one of the largest auto parts suppliers globally, attaining immense wealth in the process.
In addition to Magna, he launched The Stronach Group specializing in horse racing and established Stronach International in 2018 with a focus on organic foods and “micro-electric mobility.”
According to authorities, Mr. Stronach was released under specified conditions and is scheduled to appear at a Brampton, Ontario courthouse on July 8.
