Hockey Players to Face Sexual Assault Charges in August Court Hearing
The sexual assault case involving five former members of Canada’s world junior hockey team is scheduled to return to court in August.
Dillon Dube, Carter Hart, Michael McLeod, Cal Foote, and Alex Formenton will have their case heard on Aug. 13 to potentially set a trial date.
A judicial pretrial, closed to the public, is set for July, with some hearings scheduled for September.
The five players were charged earlier this year in connection with an alleged sexual assault at a London, Ont., hotel in 2018.
All five are facing charges of sexual assault, with McLeod also facing an additional charge as a party to the offense.
The players have opted for a trial before a judge and jury.
