Iran Conducts Aerial Assault on Israel; Drones En Route

Iran launched multiple drones from its territory towards Israel on Saturday afternoon, as confirmed by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

In a statement, the Israeli military announced, “A short while ago, Iran launched unmanned aerial vehicles from its territory towards the territory of the State of Israel.”

The IDF added, “The air defense array is on high alert, along with Air Force planes and Navy ships tasked with protecting the country’s skies. The IDF is closely monitoring all targets.”

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps acknowledged launching an attack on Israel in response to an earlier IDF strike on a consular compound in Damascus, Syria. The airstrike on April 1 resulted in the deaths of several high-ranking Iranian commanders, including Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zahedi.

The IRGC announced its intention to target specific locations in Israel using drones and missiles.

Netanyahu: Whoever Harms Us, We Will Harm Them

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the citizens, stating that his administration had been prepared for a direct attack from Iran for weeks.

“Our defensive systems are activated,” the prime minister assured, revealing that he had been moved to a secure location as the Iranian drones approached. “We are prepared for any scenario, both defensively and offensively.”
