Karina Gould, Liberal Leadership Candidate, Says Party Has Made Running Difficult

Liberal leadership candidate Karina Gould is working hard to stay in the race, despite not having the financial resources of her main competitors.

Gould believes the party establishment tried to limit the number of candidates, and now she is racing to meet a very tight fundraising deadline.

To remain in the race, candidates must pay a $125,000 fee by Friday, with a total entry fee of $350,000.

Gould’s campaign reached out to supporters on Tuesday, asking for help to raise $100,000 by Friday at 5 p.m. to meet the deadline.

Gould shared her plans to address homelessness during a press conference in Toronto on Thursday.

She is competing for the party leadership against Mark Carney, Chrystia Freeland, Frank Baylis, and Ruby Dhalla.
