Kindergarten Truck Accident Leaves Adult Dead, Child Injured
An adult has passed away and a child has been injured following a truck collision with a kindergarten.
The tragic incident occurred on Main Road in Riddells Creek, located 55 kilometers north of Melbourne, around 2:20 p.m. on Monday.
A spokesperson from Victoria Police confirmed the death of an adult at the scene, whose identity is pending formal identification.
“A child sustained injuries and has been transported to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening conditions,” the spokesperson stated.
“The truck driver has also been taken to the hospital for evaluation. The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.”
Ambulance Victoria paramedics are present at the scene.
This incident happened less than two weeks after the tragic death of 11-year-old Jack Davey and injury of four other students when an SUV crashed into a fence at Auburn South Primary School in Melbourne’s east.
A private funeral was held for Jack on Sunday.
