Lululemon Launches Exclusive Team Canada Apparel Collection
Lululemon has introduced its Team Canada clothing line for the upcoming 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
“We approached the design process with a focus on innovation, creating a collection based on athlete feedback to ensure peak performance in Paris,” stated Lululemon CEO Calvin McDonald in a press release.
Lululemon engaged in product testing and feedback sessions with 19 athletes from 14 different sports during the design phase to better understand the athletes’ specific requirements.
Team Canada Wheelchair Rugby Player, Zak Madell, expressed that the pieces were “accessible and adaptable” in a statement.
- Thermal comfort – with convertible pants and jackets for changing temperatures, sweat-wicking fabrics for breathability, and ventilation.
- Adaptability – features like magnetic zippers, pull-on loops, and sensory touch guides for ease of use across different body types and abilities.
- Fit and function – including four-way stretch fabrics, customizable drawcords, and redesigned pocket shapes and placements for convenience.
- National Pride – Fabrics like Jacquard and prints inspired by Canada’s beauty for a stylish and patriotic look for athletes.
“lululemon’s dedication to detail and collaboration with athletes ensures all team members are both stylish and comfortable,“ said CPC CEO Karen O’Neill. ”The Canadian Paralympic Team will be proud to wear this kit in Paris this summer while showcasing the best of Paralympic sport on the world stage.”
Canadian consumers can purchase select items online and at stores across the country.
